What you will do:
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries in accordance with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, ensuring timely and proportionate responses to risk.
- Complete strength-based assessments, care planning, and reviews for adults with care and support needs.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners including NHS services, police, and care providers to coordinate safeguarding interventions.
- Apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005, including Best Interest decisions and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards where appropriate.
Person Specification:
- Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
- Relevant post-qualifying training in Adult Social Care or Safeguarding is desirable
- Registered with Social Work England
- Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Equality Act 2010
- Understanding of local safeguarding adults procedures and multi-agency frameworks
