We make health happen
At Bupa, we exist to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives and make a better world. That purpose guides everything we do — and it shapes how we manage risk, protect our customers, and support our people.
As our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Manager – Provision & Functions, you’ll play a key part in keeping our organisation safe, resilient and well‑run. This role sits within BGIUK’s Legal Function and is central to supporting our Provision businesses and BGIUK Functions. You’ll help strengthen the way we work with third‑party suppliers so that we can continue delivering high‑quality care, strong governance and a smooth experience for the people who rely on us.
You’ll bring clarity, confidence and expertise to colleagues across the organisation, helping them understand what good third‑party risk management looks like and how it supports our mission of making health happen every day.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
1. Monitor and support the effective implementation of the TPRM Framework across our Provision businesses and BGIUK Functions.
2. Provide clear, practical advice to Accountable Executives and Relationship Owners so they can meet their responsibilities confidently.
3. Deliver first‑line assurance activities, helping teams understand what strong compliance looks like in day‑to‑day practice.
4. Lead and deliver TPRM‑related training so colleagues have the skills and knowledge they need.
5. Collate and track key TPRM data, including controls, indicators and remediation activity, so risks are visible and managed well.
6. Make sure Provision and Functions have the right level of resourcing, capability and support to manage third‑party risk effectively.
7. Work within Bupa’s policies, frameworks and regulatory standards, supporting stakeholders to meet their obligations under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings deep expertise, a collaborative style and a practical mindset. You’ll have:
8. Extensive subject‑matter knowledge of TPRM strategies, frameworks and regulatory requirements.
9. Proven experience leading and embedding TPRM in a large, complex organisation.
10. Strong ability to influence and build relationships in a matrix environment, working effectively with senior leaders and peers.
11. A positive, inclusive leadership style that inspires teams and encourages high performance.
12. Advanced understanding of risk frameworks, assessments, control testing and relevant industry standards.
13. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience using data to guide decisions.
14. Confident communication skills and the ability to challenge constructively when needed.
15. A balanced approach to long‑term strategy and day‑to‑day operational activity.
