Hays Education are delighted to offer a permanent School Site Manager job in Eastbourne. School Site Manager│ Eastbourne│£30,500 - £37,000 per annum│Full Time This school is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for its students. They are looking for a dedicated and proactive School Site Manager to ensure the facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily maintenance and operation of school buildings, grounds, and equipment. Ensure the premises are consistently safe, clean, and well-maintained. Supervise the site team, including cleaners, caretakers, and contractors.
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify and address maintenance and safety issues. Coordinate repair and maintenance work to minimise disruption to school activities. Manage the school’s security systems, including alarms, CCTV, and access control.
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, health and safety checks, and compliance documentation. Support the school during emergency situations, including fire drills and evacuations.
Assist with the setup of school events and activities. Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an education setting. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
