Business Development & Marketing Manager
Overview
Our client is seeking a commercially driven Business Development & Marketing Manager to accelerate growth across the UK and beyond. This is a fast-moving, hands-on role for someone who enjoys ownership and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
You’ll be own the end-to end sales process, from generating leads through to closing deals, while also supporting our B2B and public-sector marketing efforts. The role suits someone who thrives in a scale-up environment, can juggle priorities, and enjoys working closely with multiple teams to turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.

The business solves the everyday problem of running out of battery when you need your phone the most. Recognised as Europe’s Best Phone Charging Solution 2025, we install portable charging stations in venues across healthcare, shopping centres, hospitality, transport hubs and more. Customers can rent a charger, power up on the go and return it at any location.
Responsibilities
Business Development
* Lead and execute new business development activity through outbound outreach, inbound enquiries and partnerships
* Own and manage the full sales cycle from first contact to deal close
* Build and develop strong relationships with decision-makers across target sectors
* Prepare proposals, commercial models, pricing discussions and support contract negotiations
* Maintain accurate pipeline activity and reporting within the CRM (HubSpot)
* Collaborate closely with operations and client success teams to ensure smooth onboarding
* Proactively identify and deliver upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
Marketing & Growth Support
* Create and refine case studies, customer stories and testimonials to be used in business development
* Work with freelancers to create marketing materials for sales and awareness purposes.
* Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sector-focused campaigns that drive engagement and pipeline growth.
* Help track and assess the effectiveness of campaigns and content, feeding insights back into future activity
* Own the company’s presence on LinkedIn and actively manage other relevant social platforms
* Feed real-world customer insights back into messaging and positioning
Experience Required
* 2+ years’ experience in business development, B2B sales, partnerships or a commercial role with experience in lead generation
* 2+ years’ experience in marketing, including B2B marketing, campaign execution or content development
* Comfortable managing conversations from first outreach to close
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence speaking to decision-makers
* Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
* Experience supporting marketing activity such as creating case studies, sales materials or contributing to marketing campaigns
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
* Confident working independently in a fast-paced, start-up environment
Nice to Have
* Experience selling into the public sector, or enterprise environments
* Experience creating B2B marketing content or case studies
