We are working with a number of well-established secondary schools in South East London seeking Caretakers to support with site maintenance, security, and health & safety compliance from September. Key Responsibilities: Open and close the school site, ensuring all buildings and grounds are secure Perform basic maintenance and repairs (DIY, painting, replacing fixtures, etc.) Manage cleaning staff and liaise with external contractors when necessary Conduct regular checks to ensure the school meets health and safety standards Support with school events, setting up furniture, and general site dutiesIdeal Candidate: Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a facilities/maintenance role Good DIY and practical maintenance skills Understanding of health & safety and security procedures Trustworthy, punctual, and able to work independently Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)Why Apply?
