We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities to suit your schedule, with roles available on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent placements. Role Overview: As an Educational Support Worker, you will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), complex needs in a primary school setting. You'll work closely with teaching staff to ensure that students have the resources and support needed to thrive in a positive, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:Support teachers in developing and delivering individualised learning activities for students with SEN. Provide one-on-one and small group support to address the specific learning needs of students. Help in creating and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Support classroom management and assist with routine administrative tasks. De-escalate challenging behaviour and support students in developing positive coping strategies. Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and ensure your knowledge stays up to date. Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies at all times. Requirements:Experience working with young people or adults with SEN/complex needs is essential. Strong understanding of behaviour management principles and positive behaviour support strategies. Level 2 Safeguarding training is required (this can be offered by Veritas). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the dynamic nature of the role. Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
