It is expected that the successful applicants will:

1. To supervise children who use catering facilities at the school
2. To supervise children who use catering facilities at the school
3. To help children partake of food, carrying out feeding programmes
4. To participate in training in order to tube feed children
5. To carry out or supervise children’s personal care
6. To supervise children on school premises and grounds, as required
7. To use initiative in monitoring incidents occurring on the school premises and grounds and to complete the relevant behaviour analysis forms
8. To report any relevant matters or dangers to the teacher on duty/headteacher
9. To ensure a safe environment (e.g. by reporting broken glass to the caretaker)
10. To report all injuries to children to the designated person (e.g. cuts, bruises)
11. To attend relevant training and meetings as required
12. To undertake ancillary duties as necessary (e.g. setting up and clearing away tables, cleaning tables and dining area)
13. To watch for intruders on the site during periods of duty and immediately report any concerns about individuals
14. To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
15. To take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of themselves and for others affected by their work, and to co-operate with the employer in ensuring that Health and Safety responsibilities are carried out.
16. May be required to undertake safeguarding training at appropriate level to the role.
17. Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
18. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
19. Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
20. Be punctual, reliable, and flexible with working hours.
21. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
22. Take initiative and show a proactive approach to tasks.
23. Respect confidentiality and uphold the values of the organisation.
