To assist as required with in all areas of the Marlborough College Catering Operation including Hospitality events as required and ensure that you comply with all current Food Hygiene, Health and Safety Regulations and any additional requirements laid down by Marlborough College.
* Ensure that stores areas are kept clean and tidy
* Carry out deep clean as specified by the management
* Maintain Marlborough College hygiene standards
* Following Marlborough College policy in dealing with customer complaints or comments
* Comply with Health and Safety Regulations and Fire Policy. Report hazards to management
* Assist the Hospitality Manager with Functions and Events as and when requested (Specific training will be provided)
Main areas of the role
You are required to work with and assist all other members of the Catering Department, where necessary during the duties and tasks undertaken for the operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of all light food stuffs, snacks and beverages
* Prepare the counter to the standards laid down by the Supervisor
* Serve all food and beverages at the specified times
* Operate trolley service or other services outside the restaurant area
* Operate any control systems as defined by the supervisor, completing necessary records
* Ensure daily knowledge of the food to be served
* Ensure table condiments and sauces are to the required standard
* Ensure tables, chairs, trolleys and floors are kept clean at all times
* Assist with the washing up of light equipment
* Collect and remove to the appropriate area all dirty crockery, cutlery, trays and any other light equipment
* Clean all aspects of the service counter and dining hall
* Ensure that all floor and wall surfaces are kept clean to the prescribed height
