We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and customer-focused individual to join the Council’s Housing Repairs team.
Role overview:
You will spend most of your time visiting properties to inspect repairs or defects, liaising with tenants and leaseholders to explain work required and realistic completion times. Using your experience, you will diagnose repair issues and determine the necessary trades and materials to ensure work is completed on the first visit. You will coordinate with the Repairs team to schedule work, record inspection outcomes with detailed notes and photographs, and raise work orders for external contractors for specialist or urgent repairs.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in property inspections, working with tenants and leaseholders, and team collaboration
* Accurate record-keeping skills
* Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
Ideal candidate:
* Qualification in building surveying or significant experience in housing repairs
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient ICT skills
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, and aligned with our GREAT values
