Job Title: Adult Psychiatrist Job Type: Full-time Job Responsibilities: Provide high-quality psychiatric care as a Consultant Psychiatrist. Act as the Responsible Clinician for patients, ensuring comprehensive assessment and management. Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a rehabilitation setting, applying positive behavioural support principles. Implement evidence-based practices and empower service users in their recovery journey. Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and formulate effective treatment plans. Mentorship and supervision of junior staff and trainees within the Psychiatry department. Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act 1983 and other relevant legislation. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to service improvement. Essential Qualifications: Medical degree (e.g., MBBS, MBChB) from a GMC-approved institution. GMC registration with a license to practice. Completion of Core Psychiatry Training (CT1-CT3) and Higher Specialist Training (ST4-ST6) leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Desired Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist. Experience in a similar role, providing psychiatric care and rehabilitation. Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and working collaboratively in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with empowering service users and applying principles of positive behavioural support in care. Salary & Benefits: Salary: £125,000 - £160,000 annually.
