Position Overview
Applications are invited for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the Renal Research Group laboratory, supporting the delivery of ongoing funded projects and contributing directly to high-quality experimental research.
Responsibilities
* Provide hands‑on laboratory support, assist with experimental design, data generation and analysis.
* Maintain accurate research records and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
* Support undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers through experimental assistance, troubleshooting, and coordination of laboratory activities.
* Coordinate experiments, manage laboratory consumables and resources, and ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of project milestones.
Qualifications
* Strong foundation in laboratory techniques.
* Demonstrable expertise in in vivo kidney disease models.
* Interest in signalling pathways involved in kidney disease.
* Highly organised individual capable of coordinating experiments, maintaining detailed and accurate records, analysing data, and ensuring smooth laboratory operations.
* Eager to learn and implement new experimental techniques and take ownership of laboratory management.
Location
Charterhouse Square Campus, the Centre for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics, part of the William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI), in the heart of the City of London.
