Are you confident using British Sign Language and want to make a real difference?
We’re working with a specialist SEN school in Sunderland supporting students aged 11–19 with hearing impairments, autism, and complex needs.
Your role:
* Supporting students using BSL in lessons and daily communication
* Working 1:1 and in small groups
* Helping students access learning and build independence
* Supporting emotional and social development
What we’re looking for:
* BSL skills (Level 1 minimum, Level 2 preferred)
* Experience with SEN or a strong interest in the area
* A patient, calm, and consistent approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
