The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team working alongside consultants, you will conduct pre- and post-operative consultations, assessing patient suitability for treatments. Key responsibilities include:
1. Conduct examinations related to refractive, cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries
2. Manage acute and follow-up clinics post-surgery
3. Provide health advice and support to hospital patients
4. Offer first-line clinical advice and refer patients to medical practitioners when necessary
What You’ll Need
* Current GOC registration as a qualified optometrist
* Extensive hospital experience, with IP or YAG training
* Experience with patient administration and electronic medical records systems
* Experience working towards conversion targets and KPIs within Vision Correction
