A thriving secondary school in the Yardley area is seeking a qualified Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join its team on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the availability of the right candidate. Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver an engaging Religious Education curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and a deeper understanding of diverse religious and ethical perspectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver structured and engaging RE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Promote discussions around different faiths, belief systems, and moral/ethical issues.
* Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with varied learning abilities.
* Assess and track student progress, offering timely and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school objectives.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching RE at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and challenge students.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Commitment to promoting values of tolerance, respect, and diversity.
