The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will support your store team to drive sales and ensure the smooth daily operation of the store. Delivering exceptional customer service and optimizing KPI performance are key responsibilities.
Job Details:
* Contract: Permanent
* Must be able to work weekends and evenings
* Driving is essential; candidates must hold a full UK manual driver’s license for at least 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Be an ambassador for the store, supporting the team in delivering an outstanding shopping experience.
* Maximize sales opportunities and support the team in meeting/exceeding targets.
* Provide market-leading customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
* Offer a VIP concierge service, proactively engaging with customers about products and tastings.
* Share your passion and knowledge of products, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards internally and externally.
* Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising, stock deliveries, and customer outreach.
* Identify and suggest improvements to optimize store operations.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements.
* Act as a support for junior team members and uphold Majestic’s Ways of Working.
* As a key holder, confidently operate the store independently during opening and closing.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude with problem-solving focus.
* Adaptability and resilience.
* Strong communication skills.
* Passion for learning about wines, with a willingness to achieve Level 2 WSET qualification.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 penalty points.
