Overview
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will continually look for ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Provide great natural service to customers and help them with passion and pride.
* Encourage customers to give feedback on their shopping trip by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to ensure tasks meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure work is carried out safely and in line with store procedures.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the role played to deliver profit.
* Live the company values, follow policies, and help everyone feel welcome.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay for hours worked.
* Keep themselves, colleagues and customers safe by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organized store with clear aisles.
* In the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager, may be responsible for running the shift.
* Adhere to all training to keep themselves, others and the store safe and legal.

Your duties will include the day-to-day operations of the post office. A Post Office Financial and criminal conviction background check is required and must be passed to proceed with this role; if checks fail, the job offer will be withdrawn.
