Collaboration at scale - work alongside global experts within diverse, multidisciplinary teams A values-led culture - be part of an organisation that champions inclusion, innovation, and going beyond Career progression - access leadership development, technical communities, and knowledge networks Lead advisory projects with real-world impact We offer Competitive salary: We offer compensation that reflects your skills and experience 24 days holiday option to buy a further 10 days Robust Pension Contributions: We offer enhanced pension contributions up to 10% to secure your future Comprehensive Health Coverage: Single medical cover and Digital GP service, with options to add your partner and family Family Planning Support: Access to fertility healthcare and family planning services Enhanced Parental Leave: Enjoy enhanced parental leave pay and free membership to employee assistance and parental programs 4 Life assurance at 4x your salary Income Protection: Financial security in case of long-term illness or injury Wellbeing Hub: Free access to wellbeing apps like Calm and Daily Burn Professional Development: We cover professional membership fees and provide continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities Community Engagement: Participate in charity matched-funding, paid volunteering time, and charitable donations Locations: UK wide Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Grade: Principal Arboriculturist In this role, you will: Undertake tree surveys in relation to planning and development and provide technical arboricultural solutions Undertake Veteran tree surveys and give advice Support the wider arboricultural team on a national scale Ensuring the delivery of comprehensive arboricultural reports, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements within tight time-frames to meet client requirements Work with a range of disciplines within Jacobs and with outside consultants Contribute new innovative ideas, materials, research and learnings to the team, as part of your management and project work Work with arboricultural sub-contractors as part of the arboricultural offering A level 4-6 QCF or equivalent arboriculturist qualification, with previous practical experience as an arboricultural consultant Have an in depth understanding of BS 5837:2012 and BS3998: 2010 and Knowledge of Streetworks UK: National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) Volume 4 Understanding of National Planning Policy Framework (Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, 2014) in relation to trees Experience of working on large scale infrastructure projects and within a multi disciplinary environment Familiarity with CAD and digital survey hardware and software, including GIS and experience of MS Word and Excel required High standard of report writing skills Site visits and survey work forms part of the role, sometimes in more remote locations, therefore a driving licence is essential for this role READY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
