Hydraquip are the UK’s largest independent onsite hose replacement company, offering a 24/7-365 nationwide on-site service. We have been established for over 30 years and have ambitious plans for further growth in the coming years. Currently, we operate approximately 150 service vans and have committed to an investment of £2m to commission 50 new mobile service vans, upgrading our existing fleet and adding additional vehicles. Operated by experienced and dedicated hydraulic engineers, we are proud of our success rate of over 99% of first-time repairs on site.Hydraquip have market leading technology to support our team including our customer portal which allows customers to book and track their hydraulic hose replacement and services, with real time job status updates.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Hydraquip, with a 4-year Apprenticeship where you will be supported to work alongside our Engineers to carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and rebuilds on hydraulic equipment.
You will attend training blocks in Cannock throughout your apprenticeship to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for your apprenticeship standard. These blocks can be 1,2,4 or 6 weeks long. You will then apply those new knowledge and skills in your branch workplace. (All hotel/travel costs are covered by Hydraquip).Apprenticeship duration can be reduced for applicants with recognised prior learning in the industry sector. This will be determined during the initial assessment process.
What you can expect:
During the first two years of the apprenticeship, you will develop skills in fundamentals, maintenance, and repair. The final two years will allow you to develop advanced diagnostic skills and repair techniques to include but not limited to:
* Undertake, overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on hydraulic equipment
* Carry out standard diagnostic tests on hydraulic components.
* Carry out planned maintenance and general repairs.
* Complete commercial assessments and field inspections.
* Check and record all parts and materials required for preparation work.
* You will spend time at an external branch to carry out engine and powertrain general repairs.

Essential Skills:
* Ability to communicate with customers in writing, over the phone and face-to-face

Education:
* England, Wales & NI applicants - GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Maths grades A-C or the numbered equivalent (9-4)
* ROI applicants – Hold qualifications in both English and Math’s at Irish Leaving Certificate graded Ordinary 1 - 4 or graded higher 1 – 7.
* Scotland applicants - hold qualifications in both English and Math’s at National (N5) Grade 5 or above.
* You must be aged 16+ and have the right to live and work in the UK or Ireland.
* You must have a valid UK driving license
