Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW) provides research infrastructure funded by the Welsh Government, supporting NHS research and delivery departments to facilitate high‑quality health and social care studies.
Job Responsibilities
You will be part of the NHS research delivery team at University Hospital of Wales, supporting the growing endocrine/diabetes portfolio of studies. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, facilitating research procedures, and ensuring adherence to GCP and research regulations.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse – current registration with NMC.
* Specialist knowledge of research legislation, GCP, National Framework, and/or extensive clinical experience.
* Ability to make independent decisions and advise others on appropriate actions.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
Experience
* Previous patient/client and multidisciplinary team contact within a clinical environment.
* Experience in undertaking clinical research and/or extensive clinical experience in a specific area.
* Excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Ability to communicate complex information to patients, carers, and MDT members.
* Enthusiastic and capable of motivating others.
* Ability to prioritise workload and work autonomously.
Language
Welsh language skills are desirable, but Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
