Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a varied caseload of both legal aid and private family matters, including: Divorce and separation Financial remedies Private law children matters Domestic abuse cases
2. Run your own files independently, with the ability to undertake your own advocacy
3. Deliver a high standard of client care, ensuring sensitivity and empathy, particularly when dealing with vulnerable clients
4. Maintain excellent technical knowledge and keep up to date with legal developments
5. Work proactively and efficiently to manage deadlines and client expectations
6. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and third parties, both in writing and in person
7. Contribute to a positive team culture and maintain a practical, friendly, and commercially aware approach
Candidate Requirements
8. Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (all levels of PQE considered)
9. Experience managing a caseload within family law, including both public and private matters
10. Strong advocacy skills and confidence attending court
11. Excellent communication and organisational skills
12. Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure
13. A client-focused approach with empathy, professionalism, and discretion
