Description Job Description Are you a highly organised and detail oriented individual looking to support a dynamic communications team? This post supports the Directorate and Divisional business management function within Communications and Ministerial Support Directorate. Reporting to the People and Business Manager, the role supports delivery of the business function, with a focus on supporting priority tasks such as allocation and monitoring of divisional FOI cases, co-ordination of regular divisional projects and commissions, corporate governance activities, news planning documents, financial governance and budget monitoring and improving the directorate learning and development offer. There are also opportunities to work alongside the wider Business Management Team to support Directorate, Division and Team objectives. Responsibilities Support the People and Business Manager with the co-ordination of regular communications divisional projects, while maintaining accurate records. Providing business support to communications specialists across all activities. Lead on the regular creation of the communications division duty rota for communications press office out of hours service, hosting meetings with senior colleagues to plan and meet agreed expectations. With support from the People and Business Managers, monitor progress on divisional and directorate FOI cases, issuing FOI tracker out to all case handlers on a weekly basis for completion, feeding concerns into Deputy Directors and Director on a weekly basis. Provide support to communications division case handlers with FOIs, supporting as required with FOI trawls and administrative tasks to support drafting responses ahead of FOI deadlines. Working alongside each of our divisional FOI leads, promote and advocate FOI compliance and guidance across our directorate. Support the Deputy Director lead to progress and develop our directorates learning and development working group. With support from divisional learning and development leads and our People and Business Managers, lead on our people focused learning and development activities across both directorate and divisional level. Lead on the communications profession regular learning and development newsletter, pathways page and plan regular learning and development events.
