Job Description:
Are you an experienced Sales Manager looking for your next permanent role? Then read on as we may just have the role for you.
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager - Asphalt to join and support our Asphalt team across the South East region. As the Sales Manager - 'Asphalt to Go', you will have experience in a similar industry, either in internal or external sales. This is a key role in our commercial team, responsible for delivering asphalt targets and associated products. You will work cross-functionally with operational, commercial, and marketing teams to enhance customer experience and financial results, leading regional efforts to differentiate Tarmac's collect business through our product range, assets, and technical solutions.
Main Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities include (not exhaustive):
* Developing relationships with Local Authorities and external contractors to increase sales of high-margin VAP & Collect products.
* Promoting targeted VAP and achieving customer account targets.
* Delivering financial and product targets set by management.
* Supporting major project bids and tenders.
* Managing customer satisfaction and account development.
* Creating account plans to support regional growth objectives.
* Collaborating to devise and implement regional Asphalt 2 Go strategies.
* Achieving commercial targets aligned with excellence standards.
* Building and maintaining relationships with internal teams and customers.
Key Stakeholders
In this role, liaise with the Commercial Director, regional teams, technical and operational units, key customers, and industry bodies.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience in the following is preferred:
* Solution and commercial sales experience.
* Background in Asphalt, Aggregate, RMX, Concrete, or Heavy Materials sales.
* Knowledge of production processes (beneficial but not essential).
* Strong computer skills, including SAP and Excel.
Desirable skills include customer relationship management, stakeholder influencing, and excellent communication skills.
The role is based at the Tarmac Colchester Office, accessible from nearby areas.
