An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurse has become available in the South Derbyshire and Dales Community Mental Health Team.
We are an experienced and professional team, dedicated to the goal of providing excellent care for the Older Adult population.
As a team, we are a friendly and supportive; ensuring that we operate with professionalism and inclusivity.
Due to the broad geographical area this post covers the post holder will need to demonstrate that they can travel within the area frequently, transporting Service Users as needed occasionally, without compromising service needs.
If successful, you will have the opportunity to:
Work with Service Users with both functional and organic illnesses, with the full support of the MDT.
Carry a caseload of patients with varying needs and this will include depot injections.
Use excellent assessment skills, risk management skills and communication skills; working towards building therapeutic relationships with both Service Users and their families/carers.
Work as part of a knowledgeable, supportive and forward-thinking team who are committed to supporting and guiding learning and development.
Work closely with our Voluntary partners, Primary Care and Our Care Homes project.
Receive regular Clinical, Managerial and Peer supervision and access a wide range of development opportunities.
