Please note: this job is only available to current employees of Lancaster University
Are you passionate about creating great content? We are looking for a creative content specialist who can adapt their style to meet the diverse needs of our prospective students and their influencers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in Lancaster University’s Marketing Office and contribute to content marketing across multiple online and offline channels.
The role is based in the Campaigns Team within the Marketing Office, who lead on brand-level marketing for student recruitment, including web, email, advertising, organic social, and the creation of online and offline assets such as videos and prospectuses. The Team is made up of marketing, communications and digital content specialists who deliver B2C activity from initial brand awareness and lead generation through to enrolled student.
We use content marketing across the whole applicant journey, from top-of-funnel marketing such as advertising and prospectuses, through our website and social media, to more personalised marketing communications via our CRM. The content you create will feature in all this activity; join us to help tell the story of Lancaster University to our future students.
As well as creative skills, you should have excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all areas of work. Good IT and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative and respond to creative briefs.
Experience of using content management systems, email marketing software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and photography and video editing software would be an advantage but are not essential as training and support will be provided.
This role is offered as a hybrid work pattern. The preference to fully work on campus can be accommodated if desired.
Please note that this post will require you to work during the Clearing and Confirmation period – usually mid-August, around A level results day. Leave during this period will be restricted.
