Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is seeking a highly experienced Occupational Therapist to support its client’s targeted Single-Handed Care Review project based in Shropshire. This specialist role requires advanced clinical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of equipment provision under the Care Act 2014.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing complex care packages and promoting safe, efficient single-handed care solutions. You will be responsible for conducting 10 single-handed care assessments per week over a 15-week period, focusing on evaluating existing care arrangements and recommending equipment to reduce reliance on carers while enhancing client independence and wellbeing.
What will your responsibilities be?
1. Performing single-handed care assessments
2. Ordering and managing equipment needs
3. Collaborating with Adult Social Care teams to reassess support plans
4. Ensuring all work aligns with Care Act (2014) principles
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
5. Minimum 7 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist
6. Formal training in single-handed care – must be clearly visible on CV
7. HCPC registration
8. Familiarity with the latest 12-month MOC exemptions for the West Midlands
9. Car driver with access to a vehicle preferred
