Senior Manager - IT Data and Analytics (Commercial)

Summary:
As a Senior Manager within IT Data and Analytics (Commercial), you will play a key role in the delivery of technology and capabilities that will power Gilead’s International commercial business, with a focus on Field Force Effectiveness, Marketing, competitive intelligence, and Finance analytics.
Collaborating with Business teams to review and understand the business needs and shaping those as functional requirements / User story. Define, document and playback requirements with business. Participating and sometimes lead agile ceremonies. Working closely with the business product owner, shape the product roadmap and keep our stakeholders engaged and informed.
You would be working AWS cloud-based data platform and reporting solutions. With a host of learning and development opportunities
Your Responsibilities
This will be a varied and evolving role in line with our ongoing growth. The role will operate as a Business Analyst across multiple concurrent project workstreams, at different phases in their lifecycle. You will be comfortable with ambiguity and have experience working in complex environments..
You would need to have commercial pharma data expertise and will be part of the omnichannel NBA program from data and analytics ( IT)
Essential Duties and Job Functions
* Assume IT Business Analyst responsibilities through the full lifecycle of multiple critical IT projects.
* Perform a range of business analysis related disciplines. You will be responsible for building business cases, facilitating workshops, defining requirements, maintaining backlogs and supporting testing.
* Requirement Gathering: Arranging meetings with requestors, understanding their requirements, and coordinating with Product Managers to priorities them
* Operational excellence: Help the devOps team by acting as a voice of the end users.
* Supporting Scrum: Supporting the scrum processes, running the sprint planning meetings. And provide inputs for Sprint goals and participate in long term planning
* Work with the product owner to drive standardization and adoption of the reporting platform.
* Effectively approach problem-solving by identifying gaps and inefficiencies in current processes, procedures, and operating models, and recommending/designing an optimal future state
Essential
First and foremost, you love what you do and strive for continuous improvements and innovation. You must have a passion to become expert in Pharma domain, Agile culture and AWS platforms.
* Understanding the data related activities needed as part of an application implementation or an analytics delivery.
* Proven IT Business Analysis discipline and an extensive analytical toolkit.
* SME level understanding of analytics, reporting and data management.
* Significant technical understanding of Business Analysis frameworks, value cycles, business processes, business requirements and UAT methodologies
* Ability to integrate well into a team and build relationships with senior stakeholders, proven analytical and sceptical mindset with an ability to develop solutions to technical problems
* Strong engagement, communication and partner management/collaboration skills, Experience of Working with global stakeholders
* Passion for agile transformation and cross functional collaboration.
Desirable
You have a proven track record in one or many of the following
* Experience within a high-growth Commercial Biotech / Pharmaceutical organisation is preferable.
* Knowledge and understanding of Commercial and related functions Biotech industry: e.g. Launch and Commercialisation, Field Force Effectiveness, Marketing, Patient Services, CRM, Data & Analytics.
* Working knowledge of creating tableau dashboards (or expert in similar BI tool)
* Knowledge working with the AWS BI Stack (or similar)
* Intermediate level skills in data modelling, SQL
* Experience working as a ETL developer
* Scrum Master / Product owner experience
* Domain Knowledge working in commercial Pharma
* Knowledge of Veeva CRM
