Role Overview
As a Development Team Leader in the Client Facing Technology (CFT) Team, you will work on Client Connectivity Platforms servicing the Global Broking, Energy & Commodities and Liquidnet divisions. The platforms are built using a combination of in-house and vendor based software. The Role reports to the CFT Engineering Manager.
Role Responsibilities
1. A ‘hands-on’ manager who will develop software, line manage developers and influence architectural decisions.
2. Build client connectivity applications to maximise maintainability, stability, performance and scalability.
3. Be a team player and closely work with Architecture, QA Team, Business Analysts, Product Managers, Project Manager / Agile Scrum Lead, Support Teams and other Stake Holders
4. Work in a collaborative environment as part of a close team
Experience / Competences
Essential
5. Experience with leading a team of developers
Conducting Appraisals and Technical Reviews
6. Broking / Trading / Banking business domain.
7. Strong communication skills
8. Experience with building systems using FIX Protocol.
9. Senior-level experience with Java.
10. Senior level experience with a scripting language such as Javascript or Python.
11. Experience with version control systems e.g. GitLab, GitHub
12. Deploying and configuring applications running in Amazon Web Service (AWS) [EC2, ELB, EKS, AMI].
13. Developing software using Agile methodologies.
14. Level 3 Support for Production systems.
Desired
15. Rapid Addition Platform or other FIX Messaging Hub.
16. Experience with devOps technologies such Ansible, Jenkins, Groovy, Teamcity.
17. Experience with database technologies with SQL.
18. Experience with messaging platforms e.g. Solace.
19. Experience developing / delivering software within a SAFe framework
