The department is located in a purpose-built facility south of Addenbrooke's Hospital, renowned for trauma, cancer, and vascular care. Facilities include consultant care, amputee rehab, and gait labs, with a diverse patient caseload and extended practice clinics providing varied clinical exposure.
An on-site workshop with skilled staff supports device design and manufacture through a collaborative approach.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Orthotist eager to develop their career within our dynamic Cambridge team.
This role involves managing a complex clinical caseload, offering opportunities to enhance clinical skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the prosthetic team, including clinicians, technicians, and the wider NHS multidisciplinary team, to advance service delivery.
The role includes managing a diverse patient group and extended clinics, such as:
* Neurological in- and out-patient clinics
* Paediatrics
* Diabetic foot
* Foot and ankle
* Theatre casts and removals
