We are looking for a Retrofit Project Manager to lead on Housing Solutions’ ambitious Warm Homes programme, where we aim to bring 323 homes up to an EPC C by 2028 and is being achieved through matched funding received through the WH: SHF Wave 3 grant. This role will be a 30 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a pivotal role in Housing Solutions mission to deliver thermal efficiencies to our homes, providing residents with warmer and more cost-efficient homes.
You will act as Housing Solutions responsible person for the successful delivery of the programme from start to finish, as the point of contact for DESNZ and RISE, being delivered by Turner & Townsend.
Housing Solutions has partnered with a supplier to deliver the assessment, design and the approved programme of thermal upgrades and you will be the primary contract manager, ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within budget and meeting the approved level of matched funding governance.
The role also includes the operational delivery which include (but not limited to) issuing orders, evaluating variations, chairing progress meetings, liaising with residents, compliant resolution, post inspecting, validating & authorising payments, and addressing any delays that may arise.
The role also involves producing regular update to the DESNZ portal and compiling internal & external key stakeholders reports, so ensuring all parties remain informed.
You will play a key part in identifying and assessing new technologies and funding streams for future thermal improvement projects, developing a skills strategy to enable the internal delivery of PAS 2035 assessment, design, coordination and evaluation whilst contributing to the wider Assets team in developing specifications, standards, budgets, and planned projects. Collaboration is central to this position, as you will work closely with contractors, DESNZ staff, residents, colleagues across departments, and other members of the Assets team.
