Project Manager – South West London or South Coast (Office-based with site travel) - Competitive Salary & Benefits Package
A leading UK provider of smart energy and heat network solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing large-scale Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and Building Management System (BMS) projects across the UK, as the business continues its growth and innovation journey.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of multiple live projects — from planning and resource coordination to delivery and client handover. You’ll ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role involves close collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, as well as strategic involvement in pre-construction planning, cost control, and risk management.
What You’ll Do
Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple M&E and BMS projects from inception to completion.
Manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets and performance objectives are met.
Oversee subcontractor selection, contract management, and on-site supervision.
Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
Produce and manage Health & Safety documentation, including Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) and Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.
Maintain a “right first time” culture, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction at every stage.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to address issues, manage expectations, and drive project success.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, progress reports, and H&S files for handover.
Support continuous improvement, efficiency, and best practice across the delivery function. Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager within M&E, building services, or energy infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent understanding of project P&L, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Solid knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and commercial management.
In-depth understanding of Health & Safety regulations and experience developing CPPs and RAMS.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage several concurrent projects.
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with project management or cost-tracking tools. Qualifications
Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field (NVQ Level 5/6).
NEBOSH, SMSTS, and CSCS Black Card certifications (or equivalent).
