We are recruiting on behalf of a Michelin-recognised pub with rooms located in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading a high-quality, fresh food kitchen across both restaurant service and guest dining.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Lead service across restaurant and rooms dining periods
* Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes
* Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chefs absence
* Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
* Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal changes
* Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
* Train, support, and develop junior kitchen team members
About You
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
* Background in fresh food, gastropub, or quality restaurant kitchens
* Michelin or Bib Gourmand experience desirable but not essential
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to run a smooth service
* Calm, organised, and confident xxuwjjq under pressure

* Strong team player with a proactive, hands-on approach
