General Summary
The Assistant Electrical HTT Technician assists in performing Electrical Heat Treatment, which involves heating components to extreme temperatures to achieve desired results such as hardening or softening of materials. This position supports heat treatment jobs on various components across the refining, petrochemical, power, and construction industries. It involves assisting with small to medium-sized electrical projects and other heat treat methods, providing support to senior technicians in delivering heat treat services to a diverse client base.
Essential Job Functions
* Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following company and customer safety standards, legal regulations, and alerting others to potential hazards.
* Performs assigned duties adhering to TEAM's Core Values and 7 Critical Choices.
* Assists senior technicians with heat treatment duties, including setup and completion of jobs.
* Conducts job walks with certified technicians and communicates requirements effectively.
* Interfaces with clients and co-workers to ensure smooth operations.
* Ensures timely completion of jobs according to schedule.
* May assist account and operations managers with quoting and scheduling projects.
* Supports technician in equipment setup, teardown, routine maintenance, calibrations, and overall upkeep.
* Assists in project execution and documentation of services provided.
* Learns and follows heat treat procedures.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver’s license required.
* Heat treat experience preferred.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
Work Conditions
* Position based at a branch or site location.
* Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in plant environments, often around machinery with high noise levels.
* Must wear safety equipment as required.
* Potential for travel to multiple job sites in a day and exposure to climate variations.
Physical and Mental Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
* Capability to walk, climb, and maneuver within refinery or plant environments, including access to elevated platforms.
* Effective communication skills, with sufficient vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and mobility.
* Ability to maintain focus, multitask, and perform routine office duties as needed.
