This role sits within Shoosmiths’ national Commercial Property Litigation team, supporting a wide range of clients including developers, landlords, tenants, and corporate occupiers. The successful candidate will assist in delivering high‑quality legal services in relation to commercial property disputes, including lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, break notices and forfeiture, dilapidations and service charge disputes, recovery of rent and other arrears, easement and restrictive covenant disputes, and property‑related insolvency matters.
Responsibilities
* Assist solicitors and partners across the team, managing your own caseload and supporting larger matters.
* Develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
* Produce and manage documentation for commercial property disputes.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in commercial property litigation or general property litigation preferred.
* Law Degree, LPC, or CILEX qualification (completed or in progress) preferred.
* Excellent client care and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
* A proactive, positive and adaptable approach to work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
