Child Care Solicitor Advocate / In House Counsel
We are recruiting a solicitor advocate / in‑house counsel for our busy child care department. The role supports parents and grandparents across Derbyshire, managing all aspects of care work including Case Protection Conferences, PLO attendances and court advocacy.
Responsibilities
* Represent and advocate for children and families in Care proceedings, including case protection conferences, PLO attendances and court hearings.
* Provide legal advice and support to the child care department on a wide range of case‑management matters.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in child protection and family law.
Qualifications
* Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
* Children Panel Accreditation is an advantage.
Location & Working Arrangements
Heanor, DE75 7EX. In‑person work with a requirement to be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting.
