Our engineering community is friendly, collaborative, and committed to building secure, efficient systems that make a real difference.
Current Projects
We are currently delivering:
* Major programmes modernising drivers and vehicles services
* New products such as a customer portal, digital driving licence, and identity platform
* A digital payment service supporting £6 billion in annual revenue
* Updated driving licence services that reduce paper, cut waiting times, and support digital transactions
Our core services use Java, SpringBoot and tools like OpenAPI—no previous Java experience needed, just a passion for clean, maintainable, secure software. We also make extensive use of AWS services including Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB and StepFunctions. This is all supported by a modern cloud platform and associated tools, libraries and patterns.
Front‑end development uses Ruby on Rails and Next.js, offering opportunities to build accessible, intuitive user interfaces for both public‑facing and internal systems.
