Job Summary
Working as part of an OD team with managers and colleagues from across DBS you will scope, research, develop and implement HR & OD projects and initiatives. This might include improving the experience of employees, developing our employee value proposition or driving positive culture change.
The role will have a focus on pay and reward, supporting our pay remit, the development of our pay and reward offering, together with providing specialist advice and assurance in this area.

Job Description
Job Purpose:
To be a lead advisor in pay and reward for DBS, and supporting wider OD projects and initiatives that help us become the DBS we aspire to be.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as lead advisor on Pay & Reward, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues from across the organisation, ensuring DBS compliance with regulations and governance.
Undertake salary and benefits benchmarking and play an active role in developing and delivering pay, reward, recognition and benefits strategies, ensuring the adoption of best practice.
As a member of the HR&OD team, contribute to the research and development of proposals for wider OD initiatives and undertake stakeholder engagement including gathering requirements and data, and presenting proposals. This will include undertaking external research.
Liaise with DBS communication colleagues on OD communication and engagement plans, and when appropriate be part of engagement activities to support change.
Provide OD advice to the business, scoping business and people change requirements and using change models in a practical way to support the adoption and embedding of change within the organisation.
Responsible for the review and development of DBS HR&OD Pay, pension and reward related policies, working with HRBPs and Advisors to incorporate best practice for DBS and ensure legislative compliance.
With support, deliver our pay remit by utilising and applying the DBS pay framework methodology.
Responsible for providing regular reporting and management information on reward and recognition usage, and completing monthly salary surveys,
Support continuous improvement of our HR & OD function by proactively supporting senior colleagues to review and develop HR processes and practices.
Engage with the personal and professional development of the wider team sharing your strengths and developing your specialist knowledge and practice.

Person specification
Experience in a specialist reward and benefits or an HR/OD/People analytical role.
Experience of researching best practice through external resources and networks.
Previous experience of working in an operational HR team, or experience of working within a role focussed on strategy/policy development which involved project delivery.
CIPD level 5 qualification or working towards or equivalent professional experience
