Overview
At Bath & North East Somerset Council our overriding purpose is to improve people’s lives. We are looking for a passionate, driven and motivated volunteer to lead the Twerton and Whiteway Pride in Place programme.
Hours & Payment
Hours: Up to 4 days a month for an initial 18‑month term (starting 31 October 2027).
Payment: a fee of £30 per hour will be paid to cover time and expenses.
Responsibilities
You will chair a new Neighbourhood Board that will manage the Pride in Place programme. The role requires strategic and dynamic leadership, inclusive decision‑making, community engagement, and oversight of the programme’s delivery.

Eligibility
Any member of the local community who is from, living, or working in the Twerton and Whiteway Ward; holds a prominent community role or has a passion for the place may apply. You must not be an elected official, have any familial connections to current elected representatives, or hold a formal political office.

Interview
Interview date: w/c 30 March 2026 (subject to change). The panel is community‑led and will include respected community members and Council representatives. Questions will focus on values rather than experience.
