Kitchen Assistant Role
Our Kitchen Assistants focus on supporting the kitchen team in creating positively memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and is based at our attractive hotel in Courtyard by Gatwick Marriott (RH6 0NT).
Key Responsibilities
1. Dishwashing: All dishes, ranging from pots and pans to cutlery, are either hand washed or loaded into the dishwasher.
2. Delivery Organisation: Responsible for receiving deliveries and ensuring they are organized in the kitchen.
3. Storage Management: Organize storage so all ingredients are easily accessible.
4. Waste Removal: Empty waste bins and dispose of waste promptly.
5. Basic Food Preparation: Support with basic food prep during busy periods.
6. Material Collection: Support chefs by collecting materials or ingredients when needed.
Beyond these duties, you'll represent our company values and culture, ensuring service excellence remains our top priority.

What You’ll Bring
Due to the physical nature of the role, including spending a lot of time on your feet and unloading heavy deliveries, good physical fitness is required. Efficiency in a fast-paced environment and strong communication skills are essential. You should be able to follow instructions and adapt to meet the needs of both the company and guests.
