This is a brand-new role with huge scope — the chance to rebuild how an organisation thinks about, governs, and uses its data from the ground up.Reporting directly into the Director, you’ll lead a team of 12 (including four Managers) and take full ownership of data management, governance, and the full data lifecycle. This is a high-impact, highly visible position where you’ll be working closely with Senior Leadership, Technology, Risk and the CDO to drive real change across data quality, privacy and compliance.THE ROLEIn this strategic, hands-on role, you will:Own and deliver the enterprise Data Management StrategyLead data stewardship across analytical, operational and policy environmentsEvolve and mature data governance, data quality frameworks and risk processesOversee the full data lifecycle – ensuring data is discoverable, trusted and well governedPartner with senior leaders, Risk, the DPO and Technology to meet regulatory standardsPlay a central role in a major enterprise-wide data transformationTECHNICAL SKILLSETStrong experience with ETL, APIs and modern cloud data platformsSkilled in SQL and Python (automation a strong advantage)Knowledge of data quality tools (e.g. Informatica)Understanding of data governance frameworks, lifecycle management and architectureExperience working in regulated environments or data-risk heavy settings is a big plusWHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FORA proven people leader who has developed and managed high-performing teamsSomeone who has delivered data management or governance transformationsStrong grasp of regulations and data policy (GDPR experience highly beneficial)Confident influencing senior stakeholders and simplifying complex data topicsSuitable backgrounds: Data Management, Governance, Data Quality, Architecture, or technical leaders who’ve moved into strategic rolesWHY APPLY?If you want real ownership, this is it.
