Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development through challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will build and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:
* Train internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Monitor customer incidents and report on nominated accounts.
* Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
* Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Follow internal and external processes regarding tasks, reporting, and changes, updating all relevant documentation.
* Assist with Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing in customer and Telent labs.
* Create TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation.
* Peer review engineering documentation.
* Pre-stage equipment for customer site installations.
* Participate in customer meetings such as support reviews and incident reviews.
* Accurately submit timesheets weekly with proper codes.
* Ensure certifications and training align with business objectives.
* Complete and submit overtime and expenses accurately and timely.
* Adhere to GDPR and security policies regarding sensitive data and incidents.
Cloud Engineer - Requirements:
* Interest in Cloud technologies with some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange experience; development support provided.
* Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and experience in medium to large support environments (IT Managed Service).
* Experience with On-premise Cloud Services.
* Desirable certifications include VCP 6.x-DCV, MCSA: Windows Server 2016+, LPIC-2, VMware vCloud Director.
* Knowledge of Networking, SQL Server, Azure MFA, Microsoft System Configuration Manager, and Exchange Server.
* Leadership qualities, trust-building, continuous improvement mindset, and excellent communication skills.
