We are seeking a full-time Project Supply Chain Leader to join our team in Plymouth. You will be a key member of the Supply Chain team based at Laira depot, responsible for establishing and developing standard process implementation.
Your future role
Take on a new challenge in Plymouth and apply your expertise in Project Supply Chain leadership in a cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Platform Materials Manager and work alongside a dedicated and passionate Services team in Alstom UK&I.
Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing standard processes at Laira Depot in line with the Platform, and:
* Building robust processes, managing a high-performing team, and ensuring timely material availability.
* Leading and inspiring the depot Supply Chain team, managing daily activities and performance.
* Developing and implementing standardized supply chain processes aligned with Alstom’s practices.
* Ensuring material availability across projects while maintaining cost efficiency.
* Using the TAC (Total at Completion) model for cost variance analysis and reporting.
* Managing SAP Costed Bill of Materials (CBOM) for planning and forecasting.
* Optimizing inventory levels and storage.
* Overseeing safe storage of materials and consumables.
* Implementing logistics strategies to strengthen supply base and reduce costs.
* Championing lean principles like lineside delivery and JIT supply.
* Developing KPIs to monitor and improve performance.
* Supporting strategic locations and fleet readiness.
* Creating solutions for storage of bogies and wheelsets.
* Monitoring inventory through KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
* Using TAC analysis for governance and cost optimization.
* Meeting inventory targets through proactive planning.
* Growing team capability through leadership in performance management, training, and succession planning.

* Familiarity with SAP, ERP, C-BoM
* Materials Analysis and Inventory Management
* Safety and Governance
* Experience managing complex projects and reducing costs
* Business process reengineering skills
* Negotiation and leadership skills
* Experience with Maximo and AIMS systems
* CIPS qualification
