Overview
Teaching Assistant role at a Surrey-based SEN school for young people aged 7-16 who display challenging behaviours. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Provide individual and group support to students, assist with classroom management, and implement behaviour management strategies.
* Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
* Prepare learning materials, assist with practical tasks, monitor student progress, and contribute to individualised education programs (IEPs).
Qualifications
* Significant experience working with students with SEN in a UK setting.
* Experience managing challenging behaviours is essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
