Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Technician – Motor Vehicle to join our team at our Berkshire College of Agriculture campus on a full‑time permanent basis. This full‑time position involves working 37 hours per week on an all‑year‑round support contract at our Berkshire College of Agriculture Campus and pays on Scale G of the Support Staff Scale (G17 £25,483 up to G19 £27,284). The position is aimed at providing an exceptional student experience by ensuring a safe and effective practical teaching and learning environment. The role involves supporting learning through demonstrations, instruction, and supervision.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the induction of students.
* Help lecturing staff with practical demonstrations and instructions.
* Prepare equipment and materials for lessons.
* Participate in events such as parent evenings, recruitment, trade events, and open days.
* Maintain a safe learning environment: conduct risk assessments, ensure maintenance and servicing of all equipment and machinery.
* Manage supplies, parts, and consumables, keeping practical learning areas clean and organised.
* Promote a discrimination‑free atmosphere where students and staff can express individuality safely.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area.
* Level 2 English and Maths.
* Experience working in a workshop‑based environment.
