We are recruiting an experienced and resilient Registered Manager to lead a Children’s Residential Home in the East Midlands (Leicestershire / Northamptonshire / Derbyshire). This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-led care provider with a strong Ofsted record, delivering safe and nurturing homes for young people aged 12–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with on-call duties as part of the management team. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience. What You’ll Do: * Fulfil all duties of the Registered Manager role, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and statutory regulations * Lead home operations including care planning, safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards * Recruit, supervise, and develop staff, promoting a positive and professional culture * Ensure care plans reflect each young person’s social, emotional, educational, and cultural needs * Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead to maintain effective protection for all young people * Manage budgets, staffing, and resources to ensure safe and consistent service delivery * Build strong partnerships with families, education providers, and external agencies What We’re Looking For: * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * Minimum 5 years’ residential childcare experience, including 2 years in management * Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations, and Ofsted frameworks * Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff teams * Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills * Emotional resilience and commitment to child-centred care Pay & Benefits: Competitive salary (circa £50,000 depending on experience) * Opportunity to lead and shape a high-quality residential home * Supportive, values-driven organisation rated Good or Outstanding across multiple homes * Professional development and leadership training * Long-term stability with a respected care provider Based in the East Midlands – commutable from Leicester, Derby, Northampton, Nottingham, and surrounding areas.
