Agile Working Options:Hybrid – at least two days per week (40% of your time) in one of our offices.
Working Pattern:Some out‑of‑hours work and participation in an on‑call support rota will be required.

We're looking for a Cloud Platform DevOps Senior Engineer to join our Google Cloud team.
We're seeking an experienced, motivated and innovative hands-on Cloud focussed DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will have confirmed experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer role. You’ll be a technical inspiring senior engineer and experienced at driving the delivery of new technical platforms.
What’s needed to be considered for this job?
1. Expert Engineering experience building, configuring, and optimizing GCP based networking at enterprise scale. Specific networking knowledge (including Dedicated Interconnect, VPC network peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, Google DNS, Cloud NAT, IAM and VPC SC), basic knowledge of connected workloads (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Storage buckets, Google Data AI products, etc.) and corresponding ancillary function such as Identity.
2. Hands on participation in projects heavily involving GCP networking including sustaining engineering, network deployment/implementation, network scaling, technology refresh and network optimization in both non-production and production environments.
3. Significant experience of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines using cloud native and third-party tooling – Git, Terraform Cloud, HashiCorp Vault, Harness, Jenkins
4. Manage Incidents and Problems to resolve (and advance) enterprise networking connectivity issues to improve the stability of the platform.
5. Review and feedback on code changes for your fellow team members.
6. Develop, deploy and own the lifecycle of products and solutions developed within the team.
7. Perform all engineering tasks in compliance with the Control and Security requirements
About you
8. Proficient, validated experience maintaining enterprise scale GCP cloud networking and cross cloud / on-premises connectivity.
9. Proven track record working closely with other Networks, Systems, and Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as assisting with deployment and maintenance of networking tools.
10. Infrastructure development experience in Bash and/or Python.
11. Proficient in Terraform
12. Engineer the lifecycle of Google Cloud Platform networking products in Infrastructure as Code to enable new products and features
13. Able to collaborate with other teams including architecture, business and other engineering teams to create solution and deliver product team artifacts and dependencies
14. Continuous curiosity to learn and develop themselves with the latest industry methods and tooling.
We'll be excited if you have
15. Bachelor’s degree in computer programming / computer science / a related field or equivalent experience in cloud engineering / infrastructure engineering
16. Certified Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Engineer (one of the Professional Cloud DevOps, Network or Security Engineer qualifications)
17. Advanced Python development with experience of hosting APIs
18. Experience of authoring guardrails / policy in Hashicorp Sentinel
19. Awareness of Egress Proxies, IP Management, On premises networking, hardware firewall appliances, Infoblox, cloud proxy, Entra ID
20. Experience with high-traffic monitoring systems. Implementing logging telemetry with Dynatrace and Google Cloud Monitoring.
21. Effective verbal, written, interpersonal communication.
22. Comfortable with ambiguity, changing requirements and changing priorities.
23. Creative mindset always coming up with ideas and solutions.
