Job Description
Key Responsibilities
3. Full responsibility for monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis
4. Production of high‑quality financial reports with clear insight for senior stakeholders
5. Budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting to support ongoing growth plans
6. Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of anomalies
7. Cost analysis across key nominal ledger areas
8. VAT reconciliation and returns, ensuring UK compliance
9. Inventory and stock control, including provisions and reconciliations
10. Continuous improvement of management accounting processes and controls
11. Finance business partnering across head office functions including retail, marketing and ecommerce
12. Supporting and developing junior finance team members, with future people management responsibility
The Successful Applicant
About You
13. Qualified CIMA or ACCA (QBE considered with a strong track record)
14. Proven experience producing end‑to‑end management accounts in a commercial environment
15. Strong technical management accounting capability
16. Confident, credible and able to make an immediate impact
17. Hands‑on with a "sleeves rolled up" approach
18. Strong communicator and collaborative team player
19. Previous experience managing or mentoring others is advantageous
20. Retail experience desirable but not essential
21. SAP experience useful; training will be provided
