An established, UK-based engineering manufacturer is seeking a skilled Aftermarket Service Engineer to join their technical service team. This role is focused on on-site servicing, testing, and revalidation of high-performance containment and clean air systems used in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
This is a field-based position involving regular travel across the UK and occasional international assignments. You’ll be representing a respected brand known for its technical excellence and commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out annual on-site servicing, testing, and upgrades of containment and airflow equipment.
* Perform airflow testing, HEPA filter integrity testing (DOP), particle counting, pressure calibration, and electrical fault finding.
* Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, ensuring up-to-date certification.
* Work to strict technical specifications and company testing procedures.
* Professionally identify and communicate potential sales opportunities (spares, upgrades, service contracts).
* Complete all service documentation, site reports, and test records accurately and on time.
* Support other business activities such as equipment relocations and system upgrades.
* Maintain excellent health and safety standards and customer communication at all times.
About You
You’ll have a strong technical background and thrive in a customer-facing, autonomous field role. You’ll be someone who enjoys solving problems and working with precision instrumentation and containment systems.
Essential Experience:
* Airflow and filter integrity testing
* Calibration and DOP testing
* Hands-on servicing or commissioning in an engineering environment
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering
* Knowledge of cleanroom or containment systems (GMP / pharmaceutical sector)
* Understanding of electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems
* Awareness of ISO standards and safety procedures
