Job purpose: Performs welding / Fabrication on product components in accordance with the welding procedures manual. Metals will range from steel, Stainless steel, Duplex / Super Duplex, Inconel & Aluminium.
Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)
* Performs welding to achieve qualifications in ISO BSEN 278 and ASME IX.
* Must be proficient and familiar in understanding fabrication and welding prints.
* Work and follow our BS EN ISO welding quality system.
* Carry job tasks safely using good working practices.
* Ensure good housekeeping.
* Other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities: (Deliverables)
* Types of welding include, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and general welding in accordance with BSEN ISO 15614 and ASME IX.
* Demonstrate confidence and reliability in dimensions, layouts, shear and flame cutting, fit ups and the procedures required on the prints and operation sheet.
* Ensure quality standards are met and inspection criteria are achieved.
* Able to work from instruction as an individual or team player.
Education/Qualifications (essential):
* Must have evidence of previous welding codes, and demonstrable knowledge of welding.
* Any related training certification – Abrasive wheels, gantry crane, CSWIP, PCN etc.
Education/Qualifications (desirable):
* Secondary education preferred.
* Shop floor apprentice background preferred.

Key Skills (essential):
* Set up and welding.
* Must be certified by Forum Subsea Technologies Ltd. in the various welding procedures/specifications as required.
* Some travelling may be required.
Experience (essential):
* Requires 1 to 3 years' experience in a wide variety of welding equipment and techniques employed in welding, grinding techniques, and fettling.
QHSE Competencies:
* Maintain behaviour in compliance with Forum HSE requirements.
* Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behaviour.
* Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.
Welding test required in both Stainless steel TIG, Aluminium TIG and Duplex Flux Core MAG at interview.
