and What You'll Be Doing
You don’t always need a law degree to work as a Paralegal at Irwin Mitchell. In the Asbestos & Occupational Disease Team, we value great team players who are eager to learn quickly. You’ll support Solicitors with their caseloads from the start, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience in a law firm.
Your role will involve, but is not limited to:
1. Taking instructions from clients and assisting with legal advice, including obtaining evidence and, where appropriate, assisting with litigation to achieve appropriate resolutions for clients.
2. Achieving time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working.
3. Attending and contributing to team/practice area meetings and complying with directions/decisions made to achieve team objectives.
4. Keeping up to date with changes in relevant law and practice and attending appropriate training events to ensure up-to-date legal knowledge and best practice.
About You
5. A Law Degree (or equivalent)
6. Excellent client care and inter-personal skills, operating with integrity and showing empathy and intuition to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances.
7. Have ambition and enthusiasm for Personal Injury Law.
8. A friendly, enthusiastic, and can-do approach.
9. Enthusiasm in building a career as a Paralegal, whether you have previous experience or not
