We’re seeking an experienced Demand Manager to join our Supply Chain function in Gateshead and play a key role in driving accurate forecasting, customer collaboration and end-to-end demand planning excellence.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this position is integral to aligning commercial, operational and strategic inputs to build a reliable demand forecast for the UK entity.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the UK demand planning process end-to-end
* Drive entity-level demand consensus and forecast sign-off
* Capture demand assumptions from the sales team and maintain the UK forecast in IBP
* Analyse forecast vs actuals and provide insight into variances
* Align local demand planning with Group requirements
* Collaborate with key customers, using customer portals and regular communication
* Increase customer collaboration to improve forecast reliability
* Prepare monthly demand packs and assumptions for Group S&OP
* Participate in group-wide process improvement initiatives
* Track event-based demand (promotions, seasonal activity etc.)
* Manage range changes and RIRO activity to eliminate FG write-off risk
Skills & Experience
* Significant experience in a demand planning role
* Strong communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
* High accuracy, diligence and attention to detail
* Logical thinker who can work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
* Experience using SAP and IBP
* Understanding of demand drivers and assumptions
* Flexible, proactive and supportive team player
* Passion for continuous improvement and delivering quality
